As of 16:00 UTC our service provider has confirmed that the degraded transatlantic link has been fully restored as per normal. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. This will be the final update for this incident

Our service provider has implemented a workaround so that traffic is now flowing normally whilst they continue to work on the original issue. We will make a further update at 18:30 UTC or as soon as further information becomes available.

Update - Customers are still experiencing delays and timeouts whilst sending and receiving emails through the email.cloud service. Our engineers have correlated the situation to a degraded transatlantic network link. At this time we are actively working with the service provider restore the link. We will make a further posting at 15:00 UTC or as soon as more information becomes available.

Investigating

Customers have been reporting email server time outs and email delays when sending and receiving emails, especially to and from companies in the APJ region.
