Scheduled

The Symantec Web Security Service Team is pleased to announce a new Oslo data center which will replace the current Oslo data center. This new data center will come online today.

We will have a 60-day transition window during which both data centers will be available. It is critical that affected customers make plans to switch to the new data center during this transition. Last day the old Oslo data center will be available is August 30, 2019.

The VIP for the new Oslo data center is: 109.68.63.164

Content will be retrieved using the following source IP network:

  • 109.68.63.0/24

Connections relying on DNS, Symantec's Cloud Traffic Controller or Proxy connections to proxy.threatpulse.net will automatically be switched over to use the new data center on July 12, 2019.

Customer Action If connectivity from your network to the Web Security Service is regulated by firewall rules, these rules must be adjusted to allow traffic to pass to the new VIP. In addition, please ensure that any sourced-based access controls applied by you or your vendors are updated to reflect the new source IP network to ensure WSS traffic can pass unencumbered.

Customers connecting via IPSec may connect to the new VIP immediately. The old VIP will only be available for the next 60 days and will be decommissioned on August 30, 2019.
