Underway

On May 1st, the WSS Portal was changed to require Broadcom account credentials for administrative logins. Credentials previously used with Symantec’s IDP are no longer valid. The WSS Portal URL remains unchanged, only the credentials and authentication workflow have changed.

Some customers are reporting issues, internal investigations are underway. WSS data processing continues to operate independent of the WSS Portal authentication. All end-user protections, policy, and logging continue as configured.

Account activation links were sent via email to all WSS Portal accounts on or about April 27, 2020. Emails were sent from “CustomerSupport-noreply@broadcom.com” and do not reference WSS by name because the activation emails covered users of multiple products. Upon clicking the activation link you are prompted to create your Broadcom account.

Your account activation link will continue to function for 30 days after receipt. If your account activation link expires, contact technical support for assistance.

Underway

Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.

As part of the transition of Symantec cloud services to Broadcom, the identity provider (IDP) used for authenticating WSS Portal accounts will be migrated from Symantec’s IDP (known as Symantec Secure Login or Norton Secure Login) to Broadcom’s IDP. All customer accounts will automatically be migrated, but you must activate your new account on the Broadcom IDP using the process below.

Impact To maintain access to the WSS Portal, you must activate your account on the Broadcom IDP.

For further information please refer to knowledge base article 188607.
