VIP Maintenance on April 19, 2022

Symantec, a division of Broadcom, is performing maintenance starting on April 15, 2022 at 22:00 UTC, for a duration of 8 hours.

Impact We are updating the VIP Service to add the following new features. Service updates occur during the first 30 minutes. The remainder of the maintenance window is used for monitoring. There is no expected downtime and end users should not experience changes when using VIP.

With this release, VIP Manager lets you configure two new policies. These policies are disabled by default:

• Block non-US SMS messages and Voice calls. Enable this option to block SMS messages and Voice calls to non-US numbers. • Block credential registration when users are signing in. Enable this to block users from registering new credentials during the Sign In flow.

This release of VIP Authentication Services provides the following updates to IA:

• The signing certificate used by the VIP Mobile SDK to secure IA transactions is renewed. • The IA device fingerprint behavior is enhanced to better identify a recognized device as non-risky if the device fingerprint has changed.

Updates to VIP Report Streaming Service Reference Client

• The VIP Report Streaming Service reference client includes updates to some libraries to fix periodic non-fatal runtime warnings in log files. This release also includes the updates from version 1.1, which is a mandatory update. Update your reference client if you have not updated to version 1.2 or if you see non-fatal runtime warnings in your log files.

This feature also includes bug fixes.
