Symantec, a division of Broadcom, will be conducting general maintenance to the Web Security Service starting on July 19, 2022 and ending on July 22, 2022. All maintenance will occur between 18:00 and 06:00 local data center time.

Impact

• Expect each site to be unavailable for 30 seconds or less, during the off business-hours maintenance window.

Important notes

• No IP address changes will occur with this maintenance.
• IPsec: In order to lessen the 30 second outage off business hours, customers should have dead peer detection (DPD) enabled and a tunnel monitor configured.
• WSS Agent, Unified Agent, SEP Agent: User traffic will be automatically redirected by the service to the nearest alternate site during the maintenance window.
• Explicit proxy and proxy forwarding: Customers directing traffic to proxy.threatpulse.net will be automatically redirected by the service to the nearest alternate site during the maintenance window.
