VMware, a division of Broadcom, will be performing maintenance starting on October 17, 2024 at 06:30 UTC for a duration of 2 hours. As part of this maintenance, the DNS record will be changed to point to new Web servers in the Las Vegas data center. The Santa Clara data center components will be decommissioned.

Impact:

We expect that the DNS switchover will have minimal impact on customers. After the switchover, the site will no longer provide the search service and version selector drop-down. Content will remain on its original page URLs. Context-sensitive help IDs will be handled through a list of redirects. The site will be in read-only mode without the capability to update content for the first several days after the switchover, before publishing capability is restored. During that time, customers will be able to view the content in its state as of October 17, 2024.
