Broadcom will perform Cloud SWG Portal maintenance on September 27, 2024, at 21:00 UTC, for a duration of 4 hours.
Features and Improvements
- The TLS certificates for portal.threatpulse.com and cloudswg.symantec.com will change to Digicert's Global Root G3 signer, originally Digicert's Global Root G2, for enhanced security.
- To prevent users from receiving repeated login prompts, the WSS Agent preserves the logged-in SAML session across reconnections.
- A new troubleshooting and forensic tool called Event Viewer is available for public preview. Event Viewer is intended to assist administrators while troubleshooting network and policy issues. It offers a new information-rich view, text based queries for speed, and other enhancements. New features can be expected monthly during the preview period.
Impact
- During the maintenance period, administrators might need to re-authenticate to the portal.
- Real-time traffic filtering will not be impacted by this maintenance.
- Active log download sessions might experience a brief disruption. If this occurs, download the log again.
- Expect intermittent portal availability and existing authenticated portal sessions to be ended.
- Customers using Management Center jobs to update Universal Policy Enforcement (UPE) policy might see the connection terminated and re-established. During the maintenance period, UPE policy push will be unavailable. All previously configured policies will remain active.
