ACTION REQUIRED

As previously announced, the root certificate for one or more of your Symantec products will be expiring. The ABRCA (Appliance Birth Registration Certificate Authority) Root CA is the ultimate root of trust for all certificates used by Symantec products. Depending on the type of appliance in your environment, this will occur on either November 15 or December 18, 2021. We advise that you take action as soon as possible to avoid any system failures that might occur when the certificate(s) expire.

Impact Appliances not updated on time may experience a system outage. Appliances impacted include ProxySG, Advanced Secure Gateway (ASG), Integrated Secure Gateway (ISG), Content Analysis Appliance, SSL Visibility Appliance, Management Center, Reporter, PacketShaper, PolicyCenter, DLP Appliance (S500 model and Virtual Appliance), Industrial Control System Protection Neural (ICSP Neural).

Required Actions

  1. Validate the recommended upgrade is working.
  2. Take the specified manual steps.
