Scheduled

Symantec will perform a planned decommissioning of the Mobile Device Enrollment Service on May 17th, 2021.

Impact The legacy SEP-Mobile integration tokens which are used with the WSS Mobile Device Enrollment Service will be decommissioned on May 17th 2021. No further device enrollments using the legacy integration and apps will be possible after the decommissioning.

All currently enrolled mobile devices (iOS and Android) will continue to connect to WSS for the life of their device certificate or at the latest September 30th, 2021. After that date all mobile devices connected to WSS must be using an up-to-date SEP Mobile app and new integration token.

Required Action All customers should immediately schedule an upgrade to the newest SEP Mobile agent (for iOS version 6.5; for Android version 4.6) and update their SEP Mobile portal with a new WSS integration token as described here:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/endpoint-security-and-management/endpoint-protection-mobile/1-0/Integrations_9/integrating-symantec-web-security-service-with-end-v131997634-d4221e15575.html

Customers using the legacy WSS Android agent have been provided with a SEP Mobile account. SEP Mobile portal welcome emails were sent May 6th to administrator email addresses that have logged into the WSS Portal during calendar year 2021.

The SEP Mobile portal migration action fully replaces the need for the Mobile Device Enrollment Service component in device enrollments going forward. Support
