  • Summary: The Clarity SaaS team will be performing the following scheduled maintenance to improve the security and reliability of Clarity SaaS

  • Schedule: The maintenance will be performed at the start time listed in this announcement below which is during the previously scheduled September monthly maintenance window

    Note: You will receive a separate notification for the monthly maintenance approximately 5 days before its scheduled date which will provide details of all disruptive maintenance to be performed in the window including the one detailed in this notice.

  • Service Availability: The Clarity SaaS application will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance duration. See the monthly maintenance notice for more detailed information.

  • Impacts: This maintenance will introduce new and updated functionality for Jaspersoft administration. If a customer is creating and maintaining custom Jaspersoft reports, administrative users should be made aware of this upgrade so they can familiarize themselves with any new and updated functionality. Impacts to previously created Jaspersoft content is not expected but it is recommended any such content’s functionality be reviewed in a non-production environment before the production upgrade is completed. See below for more information on these changes to determine how they impact your implementation of Clarity SaaS.

    Note: Jaspersoft Studio 7.9 is still supported with the Jaspersoft 9.0.0 Server. No upgrade of the client side Jaspersoft Studio application is required

  • Actions Required: As this maintenance will introduce new and/or updated functionality, it is important that you review the details in the linked document below to determine if testing or training is needed for your implementation of Clarity SaaS. The Clarity SaaS team will perform the technical upgrade and any required migrations. Customers are responsible for post upgrade validation of any custom reporting content.

    In order to minimize impact to your business processes, Broadcom recommends taking the following actions to your Clarity SaaS application prior to the start of the maintenance:

    • Pause all scheduled Reports

    After maintenance is complete:

    • Resume all paused reports
    • Test all custom reports

  • Details: Jaspersoft 9.0.0 upgrade to be applied to all SaaS non-production environments. See the following for details on this upgrade:

    Note: This same Jaspersoft upgrade will be installed on your production Clarity SaaS environments during the October monthly maintenance. This will enable testing and review of this upgrade prior to its deployment to your production Clarity SaaS environment.
