Scheduled

We are pleased to announce our newest point-of-presence (POP) in Bogota, Colombia (GCOBO). The POP was engineered to service customers in the Bogota, South America region and features:

  • Resilient, high-availability architecture
  • Interconnections with CDNs, application providers, and regional ISPs
  • Integration into our private high-speed backbone network
  • Availability to all customers at no extra cost

General Availability Date: May 7, 2024

Designation: GCOBO

Ingress IP Address: IPSec, all supported agents, explicit, and proxy-forwarding: 199.116.174.164

Egress IP Addresses: 199.116.174.0/24

Required Action

Prior to the general availability date:

  • Update any firewall rules regulating connectivity with Cloud SWG to allow traffic to pass to/from the IP networks listed above.
  • Third party applications that regulate connections by source IP address should be updated to accept connections from the IP networks listed above to ensure traffic proxied through Cloud SWG can reach the applications.
  • Auth Connector must be able to communicate with the egress range listed above on TCP 443, where applicable.

Failure to make these changes could prevent users from connecting to Cloud SWG, accessing third party web applications, or authenticating against the service using the Auth Connector (where applicable).

  • IPsec: Customers wishing to use the new POP can do so at any time after the general availability date.
  • Traffic from all supported agents will be automatically directed to the new POP where appropriate. No action is required.
  • Explicit proxy and proxy forwarding: Customers directing traffic to proxy.threatpulse.net will be automatically redirected to the new POP where appropriate. No action is required.
