Broadcom will perform general maintenance to the Cloud SWG Service. During this maintenance event all services will remain operational and available.
Behavior change
Be aware that this maintenance introduces a default behaviour change for Accept-encoding sent upstream to OCS. When no http.server.accept_encoding policy or Accept-Encoding header modification policy is explicitly configured, Cloud SWG no longer forwards an Accept-Encoding value it does not recognize to the origin server. Only encodings the appliance supports are sent upstream by default, which matches the currently documented behavior.
If a specific application or destination requires an encoding Cloud SWG does not support, use the http.server.accept_encoding.allow_unknown(yes) policy to restore the previous (pass-through) behavior for that traffic.
eg:
<Proxy>
url.domain=example.com http.server.accept_encoding.allow_unknown(yes)
Timing
The maintenance window will run from September 7, 2026, with a completion date of September 10, 2026. All maintenance will occur between 18:00 and 06:00 local data center time.
Impact
