New Munich Data Center
The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
The Symantec Web Security Service Team is pleased to announce a new data center in Munich, Germany, featuring our next-generation architecture which dramatically increases the actual, and potential, capacity of the data center. This new high capacity data center will go online 12 October 2018.
The VIP for the Munich data center is: 98.158.248.164. The new data center will have the following IP networks:
The following connection methods will start using this new data center based upon both DNS and geographic location on 26 October 2018 at 18:00 UTC:
Action required If connectivity to the Web Security Service is behind stringent firewall rules, firewall rules may need to be adjusted to allow traffic to pass to the service. Please ensure that this new network is added to yours or vendors’ ACLs to ensure WSS traffic is unencumbered.
