UPDATE New Schedule and Documentation

  • Group: Non-Production and Production

  • Summary: The Clarity SaaS team will be migrating the Clarity SaaS Federated SIngle Sign On (FedSSO) user authentication service from our current third party Okta based service to the Broadcom managed VIP AuthHub service.

  • Schedule: The schedule has been updated to start on January 6, 2025 and be completed no later than February 28, 2025. If you have questions or concerns on this timeline please open a support ticket at Broadcom Support

  • Service Availability: This is a notification only and will not impact the Clarity SaaS application availability. The planned migration will allow for customers to cut over to the migrated service as it becomes available per a forthcoming scheduling notice. This will allow customers to plan their cut over to minimize impact to their business operations.

  • Actions Required: Please review the Migrating to the VIP Auth Hub user documentation to prepare for this migration.

  • Scheduled

  • Group: Non-Production and Production

  • Summary: The Clarity SaaS team will be migrating the Clarity SaaS Federated SIngle Sign On (FedSSO) user authentication service from our current third party Okta based service to the Broadcom managed VIP AuthHub service.

  • Schedule: You will receive separate notifications that will provide the exact date and time for the initial migrations of your authentication configuration for each of your non-production environments. As part of the initial migration scheduling you will also receive a Broadcom Support ticket to coordinate the cut over and testing of your non-production environments and scheduling of your production cut over. All customers will need to complete their cut overs no later than February 28, 2025.

  • Impacts: This migration will result in a new user authentication service being added to Clarity SaaS. Depending on how you have configured your service, impacts will vary. See “Actions Required” below to determine if you are impacted.

  • Actions Required: Depending on the user authentication method you utilize to access Clarity SaaS, one of the two following actions is needed:

    • If you utilize Federated Single Sign On (FedSSO), it is recommended that this information and further updates be provided to your security and user authentication teams for their review. An FAQ with detailed information will be provided shortly to allow you to plan for this update.
    • If you utilize native Clarity user authentication (storing and maintaining user passwords in the Clarity application), no actions are required.

  • Reference ID: N/A

  • Details: VIP AuthHub is a trusted, highly available SSO solution. If your company adopts other Broadcom SaaS applications, you will be able to use a single connection from your IdP to Broadcom’s B2C AuthHub instance. This will eliminate the need to configure separate SSO connections for each Broadcom application.

Once the authentication service has transitioned to VIP AuthHub, there should be no change to how your end users access the Clarity service or to the functionality of the service. End users will continue to use their current FedSSO authentication credentials.

More detailed information necessary for you to complete your planning for this migration will be provided over the next few weeks.
