Complete

Update:

The Cloud Secure Web Gateway Release maintenance window has been cancelled. We are working on an updated schedule and a new notification will be issued once a revised schedule is finalized.

Scheduled

Broadcom will perform a service-wide deployment of Symantec Cloud SWG (formerly WSS) on December 9, 2022, starting at 21:00 UTC for a duration of 4 hours.

Cloud SWG Portal Updates

  • Renamed “Web Security Service” to “Cloud Secure Web Gateway” (Cloud SWG)
  • API for managing URL and IP lists in the Object Library
  • Download Cloud Firewall Service (CFS) logs from the portal or with an API
  • Adds DNS (TCP/UDP 53) to the default G3 Allow rule for CFS
    • Note: This change will be rolled out gradually across our network. Please see the “Features in Progress” section in the “What’s New” online help topic for more details.
  • Bug fixes and minor UI enhancements

For more details and a list of resolved issues, see Preview of Upcoming Cloud SWG Update.

Impact

  • During the maintenance period, administrators might need to re-authenticate to the portal.
  • Real-time traffic filtering will not be impacted by this maintenance.
  • Active log download sessions may experience a brief disruption, which can be resolved by retrying the download.
  • Expect intermittent portal availability and existing authenticated sessions to be ended.
  • Customers using Management Center jobs to update UPE policy may see the connection terminated and re-established. During the maintenance period, UPE policy push will be unavailable. All previously configured policies will remain active.
