Our encryption partner Echoworx will be performing scheduled maintenance, beginning April 27, 2023 starting at 19:00 UTC, for a duration of 2 hours. This upgrade will bring Echoworx backend services to the latest feature release.

Impact

There will be no impact for Email Security.cloud customers using Echoworx Encryption. All aspects of our service will continue to function as normal.

Key Items:

• SMS Verification Codes (Portal) to authenticate encrypted messages or new Web Portal account registrations using a sender set phone number for each recipient. (Twilio subscription required). The system supports a fallback option (sending the code to the sender) if a valid SMS number is not available for a particular recipient.

• Authenticated Secure PDF Reply is available for added security by challenging PDF recipients for their current PDF/document password when replying in the Portal.

• Architectural Key Management Changes allow hosted Echoworx Web Portal environments to utilize Amazon key management system (KMS) with AWS hardware security module (HSM) keys.

• Improved Registration UI allows users to continue where they left off in the form, in the event that password complexity requirements are not.

• Admin Password Policies are enforceable for Admin Console administrators (instead of a static set of rules).

• Admin Console (EMG) inactivity timeout adjusted from 5 to 15 minutes.

• Welsh language support is now available for secure messages and email notifications.

• Various other UI, security & product fixes.
