The maintenance is now complete. Thanks for your patience.
The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
Broadcom is performing maintenance in the NAM and EMEA regions. This maintenance will begin on January 12, 2024 at 09:00 UTC and will be completed on January 16, 2024 at 23:00 UTC.
Impact
As part of this maintenance, Email Security.cloud will no longer accept emails with bare line feeds, rejecting them with the error code "553 Stray linefeeds in message (#5.6.2)". This strictly enforces the Internet Message Format standard RFC 5322 (and its predecessor RFC 2822) which state, "CR and LF MUST only occur together as CRLF; they MUST NOT appear independently in the body." Previously, Email Security.cloud tolerated bare line feeds in order to accommodate some older SMTP clients that were not RFC compliant (such as old versions of Eudora and Windows Live Mail).
During the maintenance period, mail scanning, traffic delivery and all other aspects of our services are expected to function as normal.
