Broadcom will perform planned updates to the Email Security.cloud service to change the PBE Advanced TLS delivery option. This update affects the EMEA and NAM regions.
Timing
Maintenance is scheduled to begin on March 18, 2026, and will be completed by March 24, 2026. All work will be conducted during off-business hours according to the following regional schedule:
What customers should expect
Following this maintenance, for customers using one of the PBE Advanced policies that specify the use of TLS, if the recipient mail server supports TLS, the messages will no longer take an unnecessary hop through Echoworx to deliver over TLS and will instead be delivered directly to the recipient over TLS from the Email Security Service.
NOTE: This new behavior will only occur if the action in the data protection rule mandates TLS failing over to portal or attachment encryption. If the data protection policy action does not mention TLS, then emails will continue to be delivered as before. You can check to see if TLS is mentioned in your data protection policy by reviewing the administrator's email address. If the email address contains “TLS”, then this new behavior will be applied. Also note that this behavior does not affect PGP Advanced encryption.
