Symantec, a division of Broadcom, is providing new CASB capabilities to Symantec Intelligence Services that allow subscribers to take advantage of the market-leading Symantec CloudSOC CASB technology within the Symantec Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions (ProxySG, ASG, and WSS).
Before this enhancement, customers with SWG required a separate purchase of Symantec CloudSOC CASB to enrich their SWG appliance with CloudSOC Intelligence. Going forward, we will include the CASB application set to Intelligence Services for all SWG customers - at no additional charge - giving them visibility and control over sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud applications used across their network.
Maintenance to enable this functionality will start October 14, 2020, at 14:00 UTC, and lasting up to 8 hours.

Impact While no impact is expected during this maintenance period, subscribers of Intelligence Services and WebFilter may experience delays in downloading a fresh database or receiving database updates. There will be no impact to the dynamic real-time rating service, which will continue to deliver the most up to date ratings available.
