This release of VIP Authentication Services contains the following new features:

• Ability to add administrators to administrator groups in VIP Manager
• Location context policy added for VIP Access Push notifications
• Enhancements to reports for active user and credential counts in VIP Manager
• Enhancement to automatic registration of authentication methods from your identity store
• Account jurhash added to name of VIP Certificate file downloaded from VIP Manager
• Ability to use OAuth authentication credentials to connect directly to the VIP Service (used by Microsoft Credential Provider)
• Deprecation of Trusted Device
• Removal of unsupported ciphers
• Technical improvements and security upgrades

Symantec will update this message with a link to the release documentation closer to the actual release date.

As a reminder, Symantec is renewing multiple VIP SSL certificates using the DigiCert Global Root G2 CA later this year.

In this release, Symantec is updating all browser-based SSL connections, including the portal endpoints for VIP Manager, My VIP, ID Center, VIP Login, and the original Self Service Portal (SSP). You should see no impact if you and your end users have updated to browsers that support the G2 root CA.
