  • Group: Non-Production

  • Summary: Per the previous notification the Clarity SaaS team will be performing the following scheduled maintenance to configure the new, parallel VIP Federated SSO service with customer data, including IDP configurations.

  • Schedule: The maintenance will be performed at the start time listed in this announcement below.

A dedicated post-maintenance cutover window will be scheduled directly with you if you have a Federated Single Sign On (Federated SSO) configuration to migrate. See Actions Required below to see if this applies to you and for further details.

  • Service Availability: The Clarity SaaS application will be available during the maintenance duration.

  • Impacts: No impacts are expected during this migration which will establish a parallel Federated SSO service leaving all currently configured Federated SSO services unaltered.

If applicable to you, further, coordinated, disruptive customer and Broadcom actions are required to cutover to the new Federated SSO service. These cutover actions, if required by you, are anticipated to take less than an hour but may take up to 2 hours in exceptional cases. See Actions Required below to see if this applies to you and for further details.

  • Actions Required: Depending on the user authentication method you utilize to access Clarity SaaS, follow one of the two action sets below:

    1) If you utilize native Clarity user authentication (storing and maintaining user passwords in the Clarity application), no actions are required.

    2) If you utilize Federated SSO, the following actions are required:

    • Review the Migration Guide on the Broadcom TechDocs site
    • Prepare the required updates for your IDP configuration with the new configuration details provided via a Support ticket. Notification emails from Broadcom Support (technicalsupport@broadcom.com) will be sent shortly after this maintenance is completed containing the details of a Support case opened on your behalf to manage this migration and deliver required configuration details.
    • Test and validate the new VIP Federated SSO service to prepare for the cutover to the new service.
    • Confirm your cutover conference call schedule that will be provided in the Support ticket
    • Cutover your Non-Production environment(s) during the interactive conference call
    • Report any concerns or issues with the process via the provided Support ticket

  • Reference ID: N/A

  • Details: VIP AuthHub is a trusted, highly available SSO solution. If your company adopts other Broadcom SaaS applications, you will be able to use a single connection from your IdP to Broadcom’s B2C AuthHub instance. This will eliminate the need to configure separate SSO connections for each Broadcom application.

Once the authentication service has transitioned to VIP AuthHub, there should be no change to how your end users access the Clarity service or to the functionality of the service. End users will continue to use their current FedSSO authentication credentials.

If you have any questions regarding this maintenance, please contact Broadcom Support.

    Thank you,

    Clarity SaaS Team
