Scheduled

Service Announcement To maximize customer visibility of Web Security Service (WSS) system status, Symantec will transition from our current “Trust Portal” (https://trust.bluecoat.com) to the new “Symantec Status” (https://wss.status.symantec.com) at 07:00 US Eastern Time (12:00 UTC) on January 9, 2019.

  • Symantec Status is available now to preview, but will not be considered officially live or supported until the transition date.
  • To avoid confusion, Trust Portal will be decommissioned as soon as Symantec Status goes live.
  • A follow-up announcement will be provided once Symantec Status is live.

    Customer Actions

  • If applicable, switch from the Trust Portal RSS feed (https://trust.bluecoat.com/rss_events) to the Symantec Status RSS feed (https://wss.status.symantec.com/history.rss)
  • Direct relevant support staff to the new Symantec Status
  • Email notification subscriptions will be automatically migrated to Symantec Status

Benefits of the new Symantec Status

  • Cleaner, simpler page layout, consistent with other Symantec cloud services (https://status.symantec.com)
  • Addition of powerful push notification capabilities, including email, SMS, Webhook, and RSS
  • Expansion of system availability history from 30 days to 90 days
  • Introduction of automated posting of common alerts, reducing the gap between an event and the posting of an alert
  • Visual indicator of incident duration
  • Addition of ThreatPulse Portal status
  • Support for additional exciting features to be revealed at a future date

Please visit https://wss.status.symantec.com/ to view system status and subscribe to notifications for all Symantec cloud services.
