Broadcom is proud to announce the immediate general availability of WSS Agent 8.2.3.

To download this version, sign into the WSS portal and navigate to Connectivity > WSS Agent. The download is available under the Maintenance Release portion of the Installers section.

At this time, there are no plans to promote version 8.2.3 to the Recommended Release.

Features and Improvements

  • No new features.
  • Adds support for macOS Ventura.
  • Resolves an issue where the IPv6 blocking feature would intermittently trigger NXDOMAIN errors when attempting to access IPv6 enabled websites.
  • Resolves an installation error (“...you need to install Rosetta”) on Apple Silicon machines. For clarity, WSS Agent for macOS has natively supported Apple Silicon since v7.1.1 and Rosetta is not required.

  • 64-bit Windows 10 version 19H2 and later (Semi-Annual Servicing Channel) - including Windows 11
  • macOS Catalina and later - including macOS Ventura

WSS Agent 9.0.62 Public Preview

Broadcom is also proud to announce the immediate availability of the public preview of WSS Agent v9.0.62. This is a prerelease version of the next major WSS Agent. The preview version contains architectural changes to support future features and platforms. You are encouraged to test this build to validate continuity of existing functionality and to ensure seamless compatibility with supported environments. Your feedback is important to us and will be evaluated by the product team. Submit feedback to your sales engineer or via a support ticket.

To download the preview version, sign into the WSS portal and navigate to Connectivity > WSS Agent. Under the Installers section and click Other Release(s) to reveal the v9.0.62 download.
